Many of us have been running all our lives.

Practice stopping.

Mission

I strive to inspire and empower individuals to take good care of themselves

using mindfulness and integrative acupuncture.

What is integrative acupuncture?

Integrative acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment. It honors the source of acupuncture, which is traditional Chinese medicine, and builds on that foundation to incorporate acupuncture into the rapidly evolving allopathic medical landscape.

Integrative acupuncturists combine advanced training in traditional Chinese medicine and astute clinical judgment with current research to offer compassionate and effective care to patients. As an integrative acupuncturist, I continually evaluate current medical literature to ensure that my treatment protocols are always cutting-edge.

I prioritize open communication with patients’ care teams, and utilize labs, imaging, and other interdisciplinary assessments to inform treatment approach and progress.

About Dr. Liz

I am a board-certified acupuncturist licensed by the Maine Board of Complementary Health Care Providers and the Texas Medical Board. I earned my B.A. in Biological Sciences from Smith College and my Master and Doctor of Acupuncture from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, where I also worked as a research coordinator. I have practiced in several integrative settings, collaborating with healthcare providers across many disciplines.

I am passionate for mindfulness and self-care, and teach mindfulness skills to both children and adults.

What kind of patients does Dr. Liz work with?

  • My patients and I trust in the body’s innate ability to relax, heal, and regenerate, and want to actively support these processes.

  • My patients and I believe that there is wisdom in traditional practices, and are further encouraged by the ample research that supports the efficacy of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and mindfulness.

  • Acupuncture is a conservative intervention: it is minimally invasive and usually has no negative side effects, unlike most other medical procedures and medications. A course of treatment with acupuncture costs less than surgery or hospitalization. Despite these advantages, acupuncture is often overlooked as an early intervention, so typically only progressive patients and physicians consider it as a treatment option.

  • My patients and I know that hope is an essential component of living a meaningful and engaged life, and our patients hope to feel as healthy, energetic, strong, and peaceful as humanly possible.
